The Top 5 Indicators of a Healthy Church

A healthy church is not defined by its size, budget, or programs. However, there are five indicators that can help determine whether a church is healthy. These indicators are: sound doctrine, discipleship, evangelism, fellowship, and worship.

Sound doctrine

A healthy church is one that is based on sound doctrine. This means that the church believes in and teaches the truth of the Bible. The Bible is our foundation for all beliefs and practices. A healthy church will also hold to sound doctrine in regard to salvation. We are called to be set apart from the world and to live according to God’s standards, not the world’s standards. A healthy church also upholds the truth of God’s Word as absolute and authoritative. Furthermore, a healthy church will guard against false teaching and false teachers.

A healthy church is one that is able to worship God in a way that is both reverent and joyous. Worship should be seen as a time to come together and celebrate all that God has done for us, while also remembering who He is and what He has called us to be. A healthy church will have a worship service that is well-planned and organized, but also flexible enough to accommodate the needs of the congregation. The worship team should be prepared and ready to lead the people in worship, but they should also be willing to listen to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to guide the service. Ultimately, a healthy church is one where worship is an indicator of our love for God and our desire to please Him.

A healthy church is one that is discipleship-focused. Discipleship is not a program or an event, but rather it is a way of life. It is a lifestyle of following Jesus Christ and being obedient to His Word. A church that is focused on discipleship will see people being transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit and living out their faith in everyday life. This transformation will be evident in the way they treat others, serve their community, and share the gospel. A non-denominational church will be a light in the darkness, pointing others to Jesus Christ and leading them into a saving relationship with Him.

A healthy church is one in which the members fellowship with one another. This means that they spend time together outside of church, getting to know one another and developing relationships. This can happen through small groups, service projects, or simply spending time together socially. When members of a church take the time to get to know one another, it creates a strong sense of community and belonging. This sense of community is vital to a healthy church because it helps members feel connected to one another and invested in the life of the church.

A church that is seeing people come to Christ and grow in their faith is a healthy church. One indicator of a healthy church is evangelism. A church that is actively sharing the gospel and seeing people respond is a healthy church.
