The Old Testament

The Old Testament begins with The Book of Genesis, which depicts the start of time when God created the heavens and the earth. It then continues to detail the well-known story of Adam and Eve and the eventual sin that is introduced into humankind as a result of their doing.

As you continue to read through the Old Testament you will learn about Moses and the story of the Israelites. You will learn about the way people lived before the coming of Christ with emphasis on ideals such as how to distinguish between good and evil and the necessary obedience and redemption one must align with to remain with God.

The New Testament

The New Testament accounts are witness to the promise of salvation coming true; it is the coming of Christ that creates a new understanding of salvation for the people of God.

The New Testament will detail the coming of Jesus Christ and the works during his lifetime. You will learn more about the miracle of Mary’s conception and the years of Jesus’ life leading up to his crucifixion. The Book of Revelation is the ending book and reveals the plans for the return of Christ once again.
